LA TOYA GOES TO AFRICA AND COMES BACK WITH A MISSION

It wasn't really a tour, nor was it publicity for the Startin' Over CD, but for La Toya it was an honor, an eye opening experience, a humbling visit. This past weekend
La Toya visited Luanda, Angola in Africa and was invited to give a talk at their local university, visit local missionaries as well as a visit with the U.S. Ambassador.

In lieu of the abject poverty, La Toya is sorting with her management team,
(upon closer inspection) plans to revisit Luanda to partake in a 'Better Luanda'
campaign. As heart wrenching as it was, La Toya's presence created smiles and
her words of encouragement were deeply felt as evidenced by the numerous
questions she answered, the gifts she was showered with and the personal
invitation by the U.S. Ambassador to work closely with La Toya when she revisits
Africa. As soon as we obtain the unforgettable photos of this trip, we'll share them with you.

VH-1 ALL ACCESS REVIEW

Starting Over can be easy for some but hard for others. Recently, VH-1 got to take an All Access look into the ‘Startin Over’ process of the one and only La Toya Jackson and all of her fans got to see first hand that La Toya is BACK and better
than ever!

When someone thinks about the musical Jackson family, the first name that comes to mind may not be La Toya. That is soon to change however! Move over Michael, step aside Janet, because this upcoming autumn it’s time for La Toya.

She will be leaping back into the public eye once again with her new album "Startin Over.’ Recently the cameras of VH-1 got to follow La Toya around the United States as she promoted her 10th album. La Toyas’ new album is what she calls a way of "Irradicating the past from her life." On this new album, which she co-wrote, the strings have been cut and her puppeteers are gone. La Toya was able to do what she wanted to do this time around.

La Toya also wants to share her thoughs about her brother Michaels court case. She says that she stands by her brother 100%. La Toya knows that everything will work out with the case and his innocence will be shown to the world. La Toya is also dealing with the whole "Wardrobe Malfunction" with sister Janet. She personally talked to Janet after the incident and says that the whole ordeal was not meant to happen at all.

La Toya traveled to Miami, Florida where she headed over to the nearest tattoo and piercing shop for a belly button piercing. La Toya gets her first body piercing. At first La Toya seems hesitant but she bares the pain and gets a new addition to her amazing physique. La Toya discusses her cosmetic surgeries, and she is not afraid to admit that she has had some work done. La Toya talked about how she stays in shape, and believe it or not, Ms. Jackson does not exercise one bit. She says that she stays fit by eating once daily and lives a vegetarian lifestyle.

La Toya then goes to the shopping mall for her first time ever! Along the way she blasts her new single "Just Wanna Dance" and her assistant makes an error while driving and the police pulls them over to issue a ticket. When La Toya arrives at the mall, she starts off with a makeover. Next she goes to buy some new sunglasses and then gets some vanilla ice cream and signs some autographs for her fans.

La Toya next travels to Louisville, Kentucky to attend the Kentucky Derby. The night before she goes out to a dinner where she meets other celebrities such as Anna Nicole Smith, Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. The next day however was the real fun. La Toya looked stunning as she placed some bets and won some races where the money would go to her charities.

Next up, Hawaii. La Toya visit’s a sports bar where she posed for pictures and signed autographs. La Toya celebrated her birthday with a massage and some birthday cake. Though she hasn’t made an album in almost ten years, La Toya is back and ready to invade the globe with a new album and a new outlook on life.

The show made me feel very excited for the new album. Being a fan of La Toya for 5 years now, the chance to finally get to see her in the spotlight again is just awesome. I hope nothing but the best for her and cant wait to hear 'Startin Over!'

LATEST SINGLE UPDATE AND MUCH MORE

"Just Wanna Dance" peaked at number 13 and we're very pleased with the success of the single. Yeah! The goal was to debut it higher than La Toya's past dance singles and we did it! The single debuted at 42 with a bullet and this couldn't have been done without you.

We also beat all of La Toya's previous dance singles, including "If You Feel The Funk" back in 1980 when it peaked at number 17. And with "Just Wanna Dance" peaking at number 13 and becoming this summer's top 15 Billboard Dance Hit, we achieved another goal.

We can't thank you enough for requesting the single and showing your love and support, because of you all of these goals have been made possible.

JA-TAIL Records is now about to release her next single to dance clubs and dance radio and we're gonna beat these previous goals again! We'll keep you posted on the upcoming single.

LA TOYA ONLINE SUMMER CONTEST FOR SPECIAL FRIENDS
Time goes by so fast and summer is almost over but not without a contest! And not just any contest but our kick-off to many more contests yet to come. We feel we need to increase the member benefits for our Special Friends so through our plans of distributing future redeemable points for items purchased in the Shop (we'll tell you more about this in the Fall) we came up with our very first idea for this Summer Contest.

Are you ready? Here it goes, each Special Friend who accumulates the most points will receive a personalized DVD message from La Toya to you plus a T-shirt, an Autographed Promotional copy of La Toya's single, an Autographed Photo with a personal message, and a Poster. That's right, we're going to schedule cameramen who will film La Toya speaking directly to the winner.

Okay how do you accumulate these points? Glad you asked, all you have to do is refer new Special Friend's. So, the winner will be the one with the most points and we're actually going to have a First Place and Second Place Winner. The second place winner will receive a Special La Toya Gift Pack which includes a T-shirt, an Autographed Photo with a personal message and a Poster.
